Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm
Salary:
Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract:

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Avonside School, a brand-new specialist school in Bristol, and play a key role in creating an inspiring learning environment where every pupil can flourish.
We're looking for a passionate and creative SEN Teacher who believes that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Working with pupils with a range of additional needs, you'll deliver engaging, personalised learning that builds confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.
This is far more than a teaching role. You'll help shape the school's curriculum, culture and future from the very beginning, working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team who are committed to achieving the very best outcomes for every young person.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire pupils and support excellent progress.
- Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of learners with a range of additional and complex needs.
- Plan, develop and review schemes of learning across your curriculum area.
- Monitor pupil progress, using assessment to identify interventions and celebrate achievement.
- Lead the development of your subject area, ensuring teaching remains creative, innovative and engaging.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Avonside School and the wider Outcomes First Group to share best practice and develop the curriculum.
- Support colleagues through training and sharing effective teaching strategies within your subject specialism.
- Work closely with the Exams Officer to ensure accurate qualification entries and successful outcomes.
- Teach across a range of subjects where required to support the effective delivery of the school's curriculum.
- Work alongside therapists, Learning Support Assistants, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide a consistent, holistic approach to each pupil's education.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching within an educational setting.
- Can confidently plan, deliver and adapt engaging lessons for pupils with a range of learning needs.
- Is passionate about inclusive education and believes every child can achieve.
- Is creative, flexible and committed to delivering personalised learning experiences.
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence.
