Inmans Primary School is a wonderful school located in the heart of Hedon, to the east of Hull. We are a community-focused school that is always exploring new and innovative ways to support and serve our local community.

Inmans Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and caring Play Leader to help cover the lunchtime provision. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with children and is passionate about creating fun, imaginative and inclusive play opportunities that support children's wellbeing, social development and enjoyment of school life.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of lunchtime activities for children. They will work closely with school staff to ensure children have access to engaging, safe and stimulating play experiences each day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the welfare, behaviour and safety of children during lunchtimes.
  • Liaising with parents and senior leaders regarding lunchtime incidents where required.
  • Maintaining records.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and caring environment for all children.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children aged 4–11.
  • Has a good understanding of child development and children’s play.
  • Holds a relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above).
  • Has a current First Aid qualification or is willing to undertake training.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is enthusiastic, creative and proactive.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
