Hours: Full time (37 hours per week, all year round)

Duration: Temporary Maternity Cover (June 2027)

Salary: £24,930 a year + benefits

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Curriculum Administrator to join our dedicated Administration Team. This critical role supports both learners and academic staff throughout the academic year across multiple provisions, including Classroom-Based Learning, Work-Based Learning, Employability, Community, and ESOL.

Your daily work will have a direct impact on the student experience, helping to drive student enrolments, ensure highly accurate data, and build the positive reputation of the College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Administration:
    Undertake word processing, filing, data input, and minute-taking to assist the department in running smoothly
  • Student Tracking & Support:
    Collaborate with teaching staff to chase and monitor student attendance (to support retention rates) and manage administrative processes for the student behaviour and disciplinary policy.
  • Timetabling & Data Cleansing:
    Work alongside the Senior Administrator to input timetables accurately, and coordinate with teaching staff/managers to cleanse data to maximize funding and generate reports.
  • External Engagement:
    Liaise with Job Centres, employers, and partners to support college provisions, maintain financial records, and promote the College's reputation.
  • Reception & Front of House:
    Answer and direct switchboard calls efficiently, meet and greet visitors, and carry out reception desk duties.
  • College Events:
    Attend and support cross-college events throughout the year, such as Awards Evenings, Parents' Evenings, Open Events, and HE Graduation Events.
What we are looking for Experience & Qualifications

Experience:

Previous experience working in an administration or similar role (experience within a Further Education (FE) or similar environment is highly desirable).

Qualifications:

Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (or equivalent, e.g., GCSE C/4 or above). A minimum of Level 2 in Business Administration, Customer Service, or an equivalent qualification is highly desirable.

Skills & Personal Characteristics
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-focused skills. Outstanding organizational skills with a methodical, accurate, and proactive approach to work.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and associated software packages.
  • Ability to work flexibly, manage conflicting demands, and handle tight deadlines under pressure.
  • A professional, confidential, and high-integrity approach to handling sensitive personal data.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and the values of FREDIE.
Department Info

You will report to the Senior Administrator and work as part of a Curriculum Administration Team.
