Our DT technician plays a vital role in the provision of high-quality Design Technology teaching. You will take on a wide range of tasks at work, including: preparing, assembling and adapting machinery/equipment and resources;

taking an active part in class demonstrations; ordering resources and keeping budgets; helping in practical classes; giving technical help to pupils and students; and always meeting current health and safety standards.

• Have GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent qualifications in English, maths and at least one science subject
• Care deeply for the wellbeing and academic success of all pupils
• Have good interpersonal skills, be a team player and be adept at working independently
• Experience of carrying out risk assessment for technician activities
• Have excellent organisational skills and a strong work ethic
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude to problem solving
