Are you a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Teacher with the ability to teach French and Spanish? Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity in a welcoming and supportive secondary school?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, seeking an enthusiastic MFL Teacher (French & Spanish) to join their successful Languages department from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. The school is committed to providing a high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment where both students and staff can thrive.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring French and Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence in their language skills and a greater understanding of different cultures.

Key responsibilities include:

* Planning and delivering high-quality French and Spanish lessons

* Creating engaging and interactive learning experiences

* Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress

* Supporting students to achieve their full academic potential

* Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement

* Contributing to departmental planning and enrichment activities

* Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote outstanding teaching and learning

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Have experience teaching both French and Spanish within a secondary school setting

* Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages

* Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills

* Be committed to raising standards and improving student outcomes

* Have strong communication and organisational skills

* Be a positive and proactive member of the school community

Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and fully encouraged.
