Job Title: Nursery Supply Teacher
Location: Rowlands Gill – Gateshead
Hours: 8:30-15:30, Monday – Friday
Start: September
Pay: £135–£180 per day (dependent on experience)

Milk Education is working in partnership with welcoming primary schools in Rowlands Gill to recruit dedicated Nursery Supply Teachers to support Early Years settings on a flexible basis.

Nursery Supply Teacher– Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning
- Deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS Framework
- Follow lesson plans provided by the school or confidently adapt activities where required
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children’s learning and development through creative and interactive activities
- Adapt quickly to different nursery settings and routines
- Promote children’s confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
- Build positive relationships with children and staff
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and school staff
- Follow school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements at all times
- Provide clear feedback to the class teacher or school at the end of each assignment
- Represent Milk Education professionally in every placement
– Essential Criteria
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent and relevant UK teaching experience within a Nursery or Early Years setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments
- Must live locally to Gateshead—no relocation
