Salary: £140 - £200 per day

Teacher Active is excited to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Nottingham (NG8) that is looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Teacher for a long-term opportunity. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop independence and achieve their full potential through engaging and creative learning experiences.

As an Early Years Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging EYFS curriculum, creating stimulating continuous provision and ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed. You will use effective assessment for learning (AfL), make regular observations to track progress against the Early Learning Goals and adapt your teaching through scaffolding techniques to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.

A strong understanding of phonics and creative play is essential, and being able to drive would be advantageous.

The successful Early Years Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

• Experience or a strong understanding of teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

• Excellent knowledge of the Early Learning Goals, continuous provision and play-based learning.

• Confidence delivering high-quality phonics sessions and using assessment for learning (AfL) to support pupil progress.

• The ability to scaffold learning effectively to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.

• A creative, enthusiastic and nurturing approach to teaching with a commitment to helping every child thrive.
