We’re looking for an experienced Team Leader with proven management experience to join Field Studies Council Millport. This senior role involves managing and mentoring an education team, overseeing curriculum delivery, and contributing to the strategic management of the centre alongside the Centre Manager.
Starting salary is circa £33,357 per annum

Your role and responsibilities- Lead and manage the education team, providing guidance, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.
- Develop, plan, and oversee the delivery of high-quality curriculum-linked learning experiences that increase students’ understanding of nature and the environment.
- Support the Centre Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the centre and contribute to strategic planning.
- Participate in some hands-on teaching in the field, working with students of all ages on a variety of science and geography programmes.
- Be part of our duty rota which will involve staying on site on some evenings and overnight to deal with customer issues and respond to emergencies.
- As a key member of the senior on-call team you will also provide support to other duty staff.

Field Studies Council Millport is situated on the Isle of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland. Who we’re looking forWe are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing and developing teams, with:
- Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
- Specialism in Biology or Marine-related subject
- At least 5 years relevant work experience, with the confidence to produce and prepare teaching resources, activities and lesson plans that meet curricular requirements
- Experience in delivery of outdoor Adventure Activities such as climbing, snorkeling/diving, hill/mountain walking and bushcraft
