About the RoleYou'll deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to children and young people who require specialist educational support.
Working closely with learners and families, you'll create engaging, tailored sessions that build confidence, develop skills, and help students overcome barriers to learning.
Most learners receive 10-15 hours of tuition per week
, with opportunities to increase your workload based on your availability.
- Autism (ASD)
- ADHD
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- Dyslexia
- Dyscalculia
- Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
- Anxiety and other barriers to education
- EHCP outcomes and personalised learning plans
- Deliver engaging, high-quality one-to-one tuition
- Plan lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Monitor and record learner progress
- Build positive relationships with students and families
- Adapt teaching strategies to maximise engagement
- Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience
- Support learners in achieving their educational goals
We'd love to hear from experienced:
- Qualified Teachers (QTS/PGCE)
- SENCOs
- Outreach Tutors
- SEND Education Professionals
- At least 2 years' experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Strong knowledge of a range of SEND needs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience engaging learners who have faced barriers to education
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people
- QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- SEND-specific qualifications or training
- Experience working with EHCPs
- Experience in specialist schools, outreach, or alternative provision
