Psychology Graduate - SEND & SEMH Support
Manchester Immediate Opportunities Full-Time & Part-Time Aspire People
Recently graduated with a Psychology or Child Psychology degree?
Aspire People are currently recruiting Psychology Graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience working with children within primary schools.
With schools now back, we have opportunities for graduates who want to put their understanding of child development, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and psychology into practice while gaining valuable school-based experience.
This can be particularly relevant if you're considering a future career within education, SEND, Educational Psychology, teaching, pastoral support or child development .
The Role Could Include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
Helping children develop emotional regulation
Supporting classroom learning and engagement
Delivering or assisting with targeted interventions
Building positive relationships with pupils
Supporting behaviour and social development
Encouraging independence and confidence
Working alongside teachers and SENCOs
Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress
We're Looking For:
Degree in Psychology, Child Psychology or a related subject
Genuine interest in working with children
Strong interest in SEND and SEMH
Patient, empathetic and resilient approach
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build trusting relationships
Willingness to learn and develop within a school environment
Previous experience working with children, young people, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or SEND would be advantageous but isn't essential for every opportunity.
