Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving Secondary School and Sixth Form in the Stratford-upon-Avon area for an experienced History Teacher to cover a period of staff absence.

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity starting on 25th September 2026 and continuing until approximately 9th November 2026. The school is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging History specialist with previous experience teaching A-Level History, who can quickly establish positive relationships and maintain high academic standards.

The Role

* Full-time History Teacher position

* Teaching History across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and A-Level

* Planning, delivering and assessing engaging History lessons

* Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement

* Supporting students in their preparation for examinations

* Working collaboratively with a successful Humanities department

* Start date:

The Ideal Candidate

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Experience teaching History within UK secondary schools

* Proven experience delivering A-Level History

* Strong subject knowledge and passion for History

* Excellent classroom management skills

* Ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities

* Reliable, professional and adaptable

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
