Lecturer in Health and Social Care

29.5 Hours Per Week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30-4.30pm.

Full Time Equivalent Salary Based on 37 Hours £27,981 to £32,407, Depending on Qualifications and Experience

Are you an experienced Health and Social Care professional or lecturer looking for an opportunity to share your knowledge and inspire the next generation of care professionals?

As our Lecturer in Health and Social Care and Group Tutor, you will be an enthusiastic and supportive educator who can bring the subject to life through engaging, practical and industry-focused teaching. You will plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment while helping students develop the knowledge, professional behaviours and confidence they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or higher education.

You may currently be working within the health or social care sector, perhaps as a healthcare professional, care practitioner, team leader or manager, and be ready to use your experience in an educational setting. Alternatively, you may already be teaching or training within further education and be looking to join a supportive department where you can continue developing your career.

Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will act as Group Tutor for a designated group of students. You will monitor their progress, provide academic guidance and pastoral support, and work with families where appropriate to help each student succeed. You will also collaborate with colleagues, maintain accurate student records and contribute to the continued quality and development of the curriculum.

You should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject and have experience in teaching or training.
