Media & Film Production Teacher — Maidstone, Kent — Full-Time, 5 Days per Week – Long-Term, Full Academic Year – ASAP Start – Permanent Opportunity for the Right Candidate – Interviews Available Immediately.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and enthusiastic Media & Film Production Teacher to join a secondary school in the Maidstone area of Kent on a full-time, long-term basis.
The school is looking for a confident practitioner who can deliver Media at Key Stage 4 alongside BTEC Film Production at Key Stage 5, inspiring students to develop both their creative and technical skills.
This is a 5-day-per-week position starting ASAP and is expected to continue for the full 2026/27 academic year, with the potential to become a permanent placement for the right candidate.
The Role- Teaching Media at KS4
- Delivering BTEC Film Production at KS5
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative and practical lessons
- Supporting students with both the theoretical and practical elements of Media and Film Production
- Guiding students through BTEC coursework, assignments and practical projects
- Supporting students with areas such as film production, editing, pre-production, storytelling and media analysis
- Monitoring progress and providing effective feedback
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, participation and achievement
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department
We would be keen to hear from:
- Qualified Media Studies Teachers
- Film Studies / Film Production Teachers
- Teachers with experience delivering BTEC Film Production
- Media professionals or Further Education lecturers with relevant teaching experience
- Experienced teachers looking for a long-term or permanent opportunity
- Candidates confident teaching across KS4 and KS5
Experience delivering BTEC qualifications at Level 3 would be particularly advantageous.
