Teacher Active is proud to be working with a Welsh-medium primary school based in Aberdare, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The school prides itself on its welcoming community spirit and child-centred ethos, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where children are at the heart of everything they do.

The school is looking to take on a Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful LSA will primarily support pupils within a Reception class, working both independently and with small groups to deliver engaging learning activities, promote early development and support the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment through the medium of Welsh.

The

successful Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant will have:

Fluency in Welsh, with the confidence to communicate and support learning through the medium of Welsh
A relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable)
Experience working with children in an Early Years or Reception setting
Experience supporting pupils independently and delivering small group learning activities
A sound understanding of the Early Years curriculum and child development
A caring, patient and proactive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills
