Trainee SENCo – Early Years Trilakes Nursery & Preschool
38 or 40 Hours Per Week Over 4 Days
Up to £29,536.00 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We're looking for someone passionate about inclusion who's ready to take their Early Years career to the next level!
THE ROLE:We're looking for an enthusiastic Trainee SENCo to join our amazing team and develop into a confident, qualified Early Years SENCo.
You’ll have the best of both worlds whilst remaining hands on with children while learning from our experienced SENCo team and developing your SEND knowledge.
No SENCo qualification yet? No problem! We'll support you as you work towards becoming qualified.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING Championing Inclusion & SEND- Support children with additional needs and help create individual support plans
- Work alongside our SENCo team to identify needs and implement strategies
- Help every child feel included, supported and celebrated
- Create exciting, inclusive learning experiences
- Support observations, assessments and planning using Famly
- Adapt activities to meet children's individual developmental needs
- Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns appropriately
- Maintain accurate records and follow health and safety procedures
- Promote children's safety, wellbeing and happiness
- Support practitioners with inclusive teaching strategies
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Work alongside external professionals and support agencies
- Attend SEND training and develop your specialist knowledge
- Up to 34 days holiday, plus your birthday off
- 4 day working week

We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 3 or above full and relevant Early Years qualification
- Has experience working in an Early Years setting
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding
- Is passionate about SEND and inclusive practice
- Is caring, patient, organised and eager to learn
- Wants to develop their career and become a qualified SENCo
Previous SEND experience is a bonus, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important!
