Overview

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. Start date in summer 2026, full time, fixed term for 13 months. Hybrid working with a minimum of 1 day a week onsite in either Mostyn or Baglan offices, rest can be home based. From here, you can join us at RWE Offshore Wind for a Year in Industry placement and gain invaluable insight into this truly unique and innovative sector.

About

The Role

The proposed activities for the placement are listed below, however there is opportunity to support on other areas tailored to you to underpin your development.

  • Gain valuable knowledge and experience of the Offshore Wind and wider renewables sector
  • Understand the concept of social value and how it can be delivered through renewable projects, including the direct community benefits, volunteering, skills programmes and helping to build a local supply chain
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building
  • Project management, report writing, qualitative analysis and presentational skills
  • Assist the team with the delivery and development of the Future Bright programme, to promote the work we do within local communities and wider economy:
  • Coordinating with local community fund administrators and external parties, to collate the materials to support case studies and reports
  • Conducting data collection and quantitative analysis to inform our social value, skills and supply chain development work
  • Participating in different events, e.g. Future Bright Award presentations, Stakeholder engagement events such as the Supply Chain and Skills workshops across the UK and Ireland
Job Requirements And Experience
  • You are enrolled in one of the following degree courses:
    Social Science, Communications or similar
  • Your degree course is eligible for a year in industry placement
  • You have very good verbal and written communication skills
  • You are able to coordinate your own workload and meet tight deadlines. You are a proficient MS Office user
  • You are comfortable working in a diverse team environment and dealing with a range of stakeholders every day
  • You are open to travel to other locations. Travel expenses will be covered by us
  • Motivation is crucial. Your cover letter will tell us why you are a suitable candidate for this opportunity, and how it aligns with your studies & career plans
Advantageous, But Not Essential Experience In
  • You have skills in report writing, presentation and data collection
