Field Service Engineer: Patient Handling Equipment & Medical Beds
Location: South Yorkshire

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer with a strong hydraulic background and solid electro-mechanical experience to join a growing team supporting patient handling equipment and medical beds across South Yorkshire.
You'll be carrying out planned preventative maintenance and repairs while delivering a professional, customer-focused service to care homes, hospitals, and healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and fault-finding on patient handling equipment and medical beds.
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, and improvements to customers, including quotations for wear-and-tear parts to reduce breakdowns between visits.
• Identify and pass on potential sales opportunities to the internal sales team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patient handling equipment
• Ensure your company vehicle, tools, stock, phone, and IT equipment are kept in good working order.
• Complete accurate timesheets, job reports, travel logs, and equipment

Skills

• hydraulic engineering background.
• Proven electro-mechanical skills.
• Experience in field service, ideally within medical, mobility, or patient handling equipment (not essential if you have transferable skills).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
