As our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor, you’ll help shape Riverford’s future.

Riverford’s range of H&S risks is extensive, reflecting the breadth of our business. For example, we have production facilities, farms, a restaurant, public events, a large fleet of vehicles and numerous delivery hubs across England and Wales. You certainly won’t be bored!

The business has grown a lot in recent years, and we employ about 1000 people. We are now looking for an additional experienced H&S practitioner to support our Health and Safety Manager.

In recent years, we’ve worked hard to develop a robust H&S management system and nurture a positive culture. The challenge now is to further develop and embed a fully integrated approach across Health, Safety, Environment, Food Safety and Quality. You will support the continued development, implementation and maintenance of this integrated Management System, ensuring it remains practical, aligned to operational needs and drives continuous improvement.

This role is primarily HSE-focused, with integrated FSQ responsibilities, supporting a joined-up approach to compliance and performance.

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum d.o.e

Location - Sacrewell Farm, Peterborough, PE8 6HJ

Hours - 40 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday

Skills and Experiences…

• At least 3 years relevant experience of health and safety in a similar advisory role within a multi-site, diverse organisation. Experience gained in a production environment is desirable.

• Experience of building effective working relationships with managers and stakeholders, providing practical guidance, challenge and support to improve standards and accountability.

• Experienced and skilled at advising, coaching, communicating and influencing at all levels within an organisation, with experience of supporting managers across a multi-site business and driving health and safety change.
