Location: Hollins

As an Operations Planner, you'll play a key role in coordinating our nationwide engineering workforce, ensuring the right people, equipment and resources are in the right place at the right time. You'll manage engineer schedules, logistics, compliance and operational planning to support the successful delivery of fuel infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in planning, scheduling or coordinating field-based engineers who enjoys working in a fast-paced, reactive environment. Whilst industry experience is beneficial, it's not essential – full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and allocate field-based engineers across UK sites

  • Manage engineer availability, workload planning and travel logistics

  • Coordinate materials and resources alongside live site activity

  • Monitor project timelines and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts

  • Maintain accurate operational records and databases

  • Track compliance requirements, including PPE certification and expiry dates

  • Liaise with engineers, sales, operations teams, suppliers and internal departments

What We’re Looking For Essential
  • Experience in engineering, construction, or field-service planning

  • Strong organisational and diary-management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously

  • Confident communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to adapt and reprioritise in a fast-moving environment

Desirable

Desirable (training can be provided):

  • Experience with in engineering, construction, utilities or environmental services.

  • Awareness of OFTEC regulations.

  • Knowledge of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).

  • Experience coordinating plant hire or engineering logistics.

  • Understanding of working at height or confined space procedures.
