Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits

Are you looking to step into a role where your planning expertise truly shapes the built environment? We’re seeking a Senior Town Planner to join our expanding team in either Truro or Exeter, helping to deliver high-impact projects across the Southwest.

You’ll be joining a highly respected, design-driven practice known for delivering tailored, high-quality outcomes on a wide range of residential and commercial developments across the UK. Their multidisciplinary team—comprising chartered planners, architects, designers, and landscape specialists—works closely together, providing clients with a seamless, fully integrated service from concept through to delivery. They also have an excellent track record in appeals, strategic planning, and large-scale site frameworks.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and manage a varied portfolio of planning projects
Oversee planning applications, appeals, policy work, and stakeholder engagement
Deliver strategic planning advice to clients and project partners
Support and guide junior colleagues as part of a collaborative team
Build and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders The ideal candidate will hold:

MRTPI status (or nearing completion)
Solid professional experience within consultancy or local government
Strong project management and client-facing skills
A clear understanding of planning legislation and regional planning issues
A proactive planner who enjoys responsibility and variety
