Our client, an established and growing practice in Leeds, is looking to welcome a Senior Structural Engineer to its close-knit team of engineers and technicians. Working closely with the Technical Director, you will be supported in your ongoing professional development whilst having the opportunity to really showcase your technical expertise and leadership skills.

The practice has built a strong reputation within specialist living sectors, delivering thoughtful and technically engaging projects such as care homes, retirement living schemes, integrated communities and extra care facilities.

You will be degree-qualified in civil or structural engineering and either chartered (MICE or MIStruct

E) or actively working towards chartership. Strong software capability is essential, particularly with tools such as Tedds, Tekla and Mater Series, alongside a practical, problem-solving mindset and the confidence to mentor and support junior team members.

In the role, you will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from undertaking schematic and concept designs through to the analysis and detailed design of superstructures and foundations. You will visit sites during construction, attend client meetings, inspect existing and dilapidated structures and develop appropriate remediation solutions. You will also work closely with project managers to ensure design changes are implemented effectively and accurately costed, while producing high-quality technical reports and maintaining strong client relationships.
