Senior Estimator

An industry-leading construction and engineering specialist is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their business. Role Overview :
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, ensuring competitive tender submissions, and supporting the successful delivery of projects. Working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams, the role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine costs and risks. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Work collaboratively with internal teams, including design, planning, and procurement, to ensure robust cost planning. Evaluate potential value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency. Support contract negotiations and contribute to commercial strategy.

Keep up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging construction technologies. Requirements:
Proven experience in estimating within the construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors. Strong knowledge of pricing methodologies, tendering processes, and cost control. Proficiency in estimating software and Excel-based cost analysis tools. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
