Engineering Data Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Data Manager to lead the development and optimisation of digital engineering data systems across a major infrastructure programme.

This role will drive improvements in GIS, reporting automation, digital assurance tools, and cross-functional data environments - enabling smarter decisions, reduced manual effort, and stronger data governance.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Platform Development

  • Lead ongoing development of GIS to ensure project design data (models, hazards, stakeholder mapping, etc.) is accessible on a single integrated platform.

  • Enhance asset tagging systems to support cost comparison (capital, lifecycle, carbon) and future-ready data handover.

  • Improve digital security and ensure compliance with latest data standards.

Reporting & Assurance Tools

  • Automate performance reporting from Project Wise CDE into reporting tools (including Python scripting).

  • Develop and optimise registers and trackers to reduce manual data handling and improve insight-driven reporting.

  • Improve cross-functional reporting and on-site works reporting systems.

Digital Tools & Systems

  • Develop and implement tools for engineering nominations and competence management.

  • Support rollout and enhancement of regional digital tools (e.g., AMP systems).

  • Improve compliance tracking tools, including Health & Safety file management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute innovative digital solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data security across the engineering function.

About You
  • Strong experience managing engineering data within complex infrastructure environments.

  • Proven capability in CDE platforms (e.g., Project Wise) and reporting automation.

  • Proficient in Python scripting and advanced Excel/reporting tools.

  • Strong understanding of GIS, asset tagging, and digital assurance systems.

  • Proactive mindset with a passion for digital transformation and process improvement.
