HSE Advisor
Our client, a leader in the power utilities and energy sectors, is seeking a dedicated HSE Advisor to join their team. Operating across the UK on a variety of projects, the role involves ensuring health, safety, environment, and quality standards are met through audits, documentation, and site visits. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team including a SHEQ Coordinator, HSE Manager, and Sustainability/Environmental Manager, supporting a dynamic operation with approximately 70 employees.
The company provide design and build services to the power industry, working on some of the UK's top renewable energy projects such as BESS, Solar, Gas Peaking Plants, Light rail.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular health and safety audits on site and in the office environments
- Review and maintain safety documentation such as ISO, NERS, Construction Lines and FORS,
- Support and implement SHEQ procedures across projects and operational activities
- Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments and RAMs
- Carry out site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards, especially within power and civil engineering environments
- Support adherence to regulated and non-regulated power industry standards, including working with 11kV to 132kV equipment
- Travel within the UK up to 2-3 days per week to various project sites
- Engage in continuous improvement of health and safety processes and procedures
- Significant experience in health, safety, and environmental roles within power, utilities, civil engineering sector
- NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH membership is essential
- Willingness to travel across the UK for project support
- Understanding of industry standards and safety regulations
- Good communication skills and proactive approach to safety management
- Experience with audits, site visits, and safety documentation
- 40,000- 45,000 per annum
- Car allowance of 6k
