About the RoleThe Development Technologist is responsible for product and technology developments, and for managing improvement projects for existing lines/products.
Responsibilities- Drive product and technology development streams
- Develop new ideas that fuel innovation pipelines
- Deliver solutions that meet both customer needs and internal manufacturing and quality performance targets
- Plan, organise and safely execute product line trials with development and production teams providing leadership and guidance
- Participate in product trials at customer facilities
- Manage projects end‑to‑end and in close collaboration with Commercial and Supply Chain
- Scientific principles and practice
- Product applications
- Project management and delivery
- Problem solving & decision making
- Collaboration & working with others
- Communication & influence
- Evidence of strong scientific and technical knowledge
- Several years’ experience in R&D or Supply Chain
- Proven track record of successfully managing innovation projects (including product launches)
