As part of a highly engaged Health, Safety & Environment team, you’ll play a central role in elevating standards across both head office functions and project sites.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their influence, contribute to behavioural based safety initiatives, support training development, and be part of a supportive, forward thinking HSE community.
Your duties and responsibilities will be- Support the development, implementation and monitoring of the Safety, Health & Environmental Management System.
- Assist in updating systems in line with regulatory changes or industry best practice.
- Contribute to the development of HSE training materials and awareness programmes.
- Support behavioural based safety initiatives across the organisation.
- Carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance with internal, client and legislative requirements, and recommend improvements.
- Assist with the investigation and reporting of incidents, close calls and near misses.
- Manage and analyse key HSE data to identify trends and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Support the development of occupational health and wellbeing campaigns.
- Provide HSE input for tenders and prequalifications when required.
- Contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s HSE strategy.
- Work in accordance with professional standards and industry codes of conduct.
- Experience working within construction, infrastructure, engineering or similar operational environments
- Exposure to behavioural based safety programmes
- Experience supporting or delivering HSE training
- Knowledge of incident investigation techniques
- Understanding of risk assessment processes
- Membership of IOSH (or working towards it)
- Experience in tunnelling or energy infrastructure projects
- Background in tier 1 / main contractor projects
You will work across office and project locations, collaborating with internal teams such as management, operational staff and functional departments, as well as external clients, designers, joint venture partners, subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders. The role requires a visible and proactive presence throughout the business to effectively support and enhance safety performance.
