MANDATORY UK SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Osiris Recruitment is actively seeking a talented individual to become an integral part of engineering and construction management experts at RAF Lakenheath, contributing to an invigorating project in collaboration with the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron/Engineering Flight! RAF Lakenheath holds the distinction of being the largest US Air Force-operated base in England and the sole US Air Force base in Europe (USAFE) housing the F-15 fighter wing.

  • Location:

    Lakenheath, UK (US Airbase)
  • Requirements:
    Must hold UKSC
  • Contract:

    Ongoing, outside IR35
  • Day Rate: £350 - £400
  • Must be on-site 5 days a week

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Qualifications:
  • Educational Requirement:
    Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Certifications:

    Membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is preferred.
  • Experience:

    A minimum of 5 years experience in SPONS and Parametric Cost Estimating is essential. Familiarity with NEC3 contracts is advantageous.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Assess architectural designs and establish quantity requirements.
  • Compute the volume and expenses of necessary materials.
  • Formulate tender documents, contracts, financial plans, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and other pertinent documentation.
  • Serve as a conduit between clients and on-site management/engineering personnel.
  • Detect potential fiscal or construction risks.
  • Provide clients with counsel on enhancement strategies, and cost approximations.
  • Procure maintenance expenses and facilities management on behalf of clients.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Apply specialized software for the calculation, documentation, and monitoring of inventory and estimates.
  • Conduct post-completion analysis of projects to assess Return on Investment (ROI) and cost comparisons.
  • Candidates must possess the confidence and acumen to critically engage with contractors. An adeptness in conducting exhaustive reviews of contractor pricing, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and relaying these findings to the client is crucial.
