Quality Engineer - Mechanical Process Equipment & Piping

Are you a Quality Engineer with a strong background in mechanical process equipment and piping systems?

Do you have proven experience ensuring compliance with UK regulations such as PSSR, PE(S)
R and CDM?

Are you confident reviewing inspection and test plans and validating quality documentation on‑site?

An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to support a major engineering project, working on‑site to ensure compliance and quality assurance across mechanical and piping installations.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles:
Quality Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, Mechanical Quality Engineer, Welding Inspector, Piping Quality Engineer, Inspection Engineer, Construction Quality Engineer, Site Quality Engineer, Compliance Engineer, Project Quality Engineer. We would also welcome applications from these industries:
Oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, power generation, and heavy industrial construction.

• Review and assess contractor inspection and testing documentation to confirm adherence to project specifications
• Verify quality records and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standards
• Provide on‑site quality oversight across piping systems and mechanical equipment installation activities
• Support the implementation and monitoring of quality processes within a construction environment
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship

• Strong technical knowledge of piping installations, welding processes, and mechanical equipment systems
• In-depth understanding of UK regulations including Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, PE(S)
  R, and CDM
• Demonstrable background working within inspection, quality assurance, or construction environments
• Experience working on engineering or infrastructure projects in a site‑based capacity
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time and manage quality activities independently
