Location:
Minworth Salary: £42,000 – £43,000 Overtime, Training & Progression Monday - Friday
Job Role of the Site Engineer (Mechanical Bias) A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Bias Site Engineer to join a highly automated, fast-paced warehouse environment in Minworth. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop within a modern, forward-thinking operation that is heavily invested in automation and continuous improvement.
This role offers clear progression routes, ongoing training, and the chance to work on advanced automated systems within a supportive on-site team. You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and planned preventative maintenance , ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across automated warehouse equipment and systems. Sector – FMCG (Automated) Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Site Engineer Mechanically biased maintenance experience Experience working within a manufacturing or automated environment Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering Experience carrying out planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced environment Requirements for the Site Engineer Strong hands-on mechanical fault-finding skills (bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pneumatics, etc.)
Basic electrical fault-finding capability (motors, sensors, relays, contractors) Experience working with automated or materials handling equipment (desirable) Ability to work both independently and within a team
Desirable Requirements
Experience with in automated warehouse, FMCG, or distribution environments Previous experience working on cranes or high-level automated systems Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems The Site Engineer will benefit from:
