Design Manager

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of technically challenging projects within a regulated sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a skilled team delivering high-quality engineering solutions across critical infrastructure programmes.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles;
Electrical Design Engineer, EC&I Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Design Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, Project Electrical Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, Hardware Design Engineer. We would also welcome applications from these industries;
Defence, nuclear, oil and gas, rail, utilities.

• Develop detailed electrical designs including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts in line with project requirements.
• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation to support design deliverables and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of electrical systems within wider project scopes.
• Review and verify design outputs to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to relevant regulations.
• Support project delivery through technical input across design reviews, testing, and commissioning activities.

• Demonstrable experience in electrical design within an engineering or highly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements relevant to electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in design tools and software used for electrical schematics and layouts.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
