Technical Services Manager Data Centre Construction

With a strong reputation for technical excellence and high-quality project delivery, the company operates across a wide range of sectors including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities. Due to continued growth within the data centre sector, our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in East London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all technical services related to MEP systems, ensuring design coordination, installation, and commissioning activities are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project management, design teams, subcontractors, and client representatives, the Technical Services Manager will play a key role in overseeing the full lifecycle of building services from design through to handover.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, design consultants, MEP teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all technical services are delivered in line with design intent, programme requirements, and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all technical services (MEP) aspects on a large-scale data centre project in East London Oversee design coordination across mechanical, electrical, and public health systems Manage the review and approval of technical submittals, drawings, and specifications Ensure all installations are delivered in accordance with approved designs and project programme Coordinate with subcontractors and specialist vendors to ensure successful delivery of MEP packages Work closely with planning teams to develop and maintain construction and commissioning schedules Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all technical services Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery Identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues in a timely manner Oversee testing, commissioning, and system validation processes Support project handover, including documentation, O&M manuals, and client training Monitor progress, report on key milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project phases Drive a strong site culture focused on safety, quality, and collaboration Ensure compliance with UK regulations, international standards, and company procedures In Return, Our Client Offers Negotiable basic salary Attractive bonus structure Healthcare & Pension Opportunity to work on a flagship UK data centre project with strong long-term career progression within a growing international contractor
