The Role We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Engineering team. This role will focus on the development of innovative, practical, and cost-effective mechanical designs to support telecoms and network infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in delivering solutions that meet stringent performance, environmental, and regulatory requirements, while ensuring designs are suitable for manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, or equivalent Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for MRP systems Design steel fabrications, sheet metal components, and mechanical assemblies for telecoms applications Support the development of new products, including cabinets, enclosures, and mounting systems Ensure all designs comply with relevant legislation, safety standards, and industry requirements Contribute technical expertise to support delivery of projects to specification, quality, and cost targets Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and installation teams to ensure practical and efficient designs Prepare clear and comprehensive technical documentation for manufacture and installation Skills and Experience Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works Strong background in mechanical design, particularly in fabrication and sheet metal Ability to develop practical, manufacturable design solutions Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation Desirable experience:

Experience with in telecommunications, networking infrastructure, or related industries Knowledge of outdoor equipment design, including IP ratings and environmental protection requirements Familiarity with structural design considerations
