A respected and long-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy is seeking an ambitious Engineering Geologist to join its growing team in Wolverhampton. Working across a diverse range of development and infrastructure projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Geologist looking to gain hands-on experience within a specialist consultancy known for delivering high-quality, pragmatic solutions throughout the UK.

The successful Engineering Geologist will support a variety of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations, working on projects from initial desk studies through to site works, testing, monitoring and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with ground investigations and site inspections

• Logging soil and rock samples and interpreting ground conditions

• Supporting geotechnical and geoenvironmental assessments

• Groundwater and ground gas monitoring

• Preparing factual and interpretive reports

• Liaising with clients, contractors and internal technical teams

• Supporting validation and verification activities where required

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline

• Previous site investigation, geotechnical or geoenvironmental experience preferred

• Strong communication and report-writing skills

• Full UK driving licence

• Full right to work in the UK

• Must live in or near the Wolverhampton office

• Motivated, organised and keen to develop as an Engineering Geologist
