Birmingham, Midlands-Commutable from Walsall, West Bromwich, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Halesowen, Dudley, Lichfield, Cannock

45-50K plus pension, 38 hour week, 23 days holiday and free parking

Are you an experienced mechanical engineer with a manufacturing background looking for a very varied and unique position with a growing company?

The client is expanding and has low staff turnover, always a good sign of a well-run company.

The position will be a combination of shopfloor based tasks such as planned maintenance and operating machinery with office based design work using solidworks. On top of this occasional travel to client meetings.

Therefore it would suit a mechanical engineer who also has a sound understanding of electrical/electronic engineering and enjoys a variety of tasks and a job where no 2 days are the same.

Training will be provided on any skill gaps so you don't have to be an exact match to apply

The Role:

Full time, permanent position with a growing medium sized manufacturing company.

Hands on shopfloor tasks primarily mechanical maintenance but also basic electrical tasks

Design components and prototypes using Solidworks-interpreting customer requirements and

Training provided

To apply you should have:

A time served /academic background within machine shop manufacturing, including a sound understanding of Mechanical and basic Electrical Engineering

Experience of hands on maintenance tasks

Experience of 3D CAD design
