This role is different.

This business designs and manufactures bespoke LV switch gear and power distribution systems across industrial and infrastructure projects in the UK. The work is varied, technically detailed, and built around customer-specific solutions rather than catalogue products.

They re looking for a Tendering Engineer who can take ownership of quotations from initial enquiry through to handover into the projects team.

The role will involve:

• Reviewing client specifications and electrical drawings
• Producing accurate quotations and costings
• Developing technically compliant solutions
• Liaising with suppliers on pricing and lead times
• Supporting customers with alternative solutions and value engineering
• Working closely with projects and manufacturing teams once orders are secured

One of the biggest advantages here is the variety. Every customer and every project is different, so the role won t suit someone who wants to stay in a narrow lane commercially or technically.

You ll need:

• Experience with in electrical estimating or tendering
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Good communication skills with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• LV switch gear or power distribution experience would be a strong advantage
