Storm Overflow Solutions Specialists; from Principal to Specialist

Storm overflow solutions specialist role within the Clean Rivers & Seas Task Force. The role is critical to ensuring a technically credible programme of works that reduces spill events and improves the environment for communities.

• Analyse wastewater catchment performance and model scenarios.
• Propose, review, and monitor technical solutions.
• Contribute to the technical design and assurance of the storm overflow programme, providing input, options, challenge, and governance to deliver technically feasible interventions for the AMP8 programme.
• Design monitoring programmes and conduct modelling/analysis to measure the benefits of interventions and justify the PR24 assumption base to secure around £2billion of investment.
• Support innovative analysis approaches with the Technical Lead and other thought leaders internally, in academia, and across the UK water industry and the supply chain.

• 5–10years of technical experience in wastewater networks.
• Strong data analytical skills and a technical bias (ideally engineering).
• Experience in hydraulic modelling (highly desirable).
• Proficiency with analytical tools/packages such as ICM, SQL, and R.
• Can‑do attitude and ability to overcome complex challenges and obstacles, challenging colleagues and the supply chain to ensure robust interventions are designed and delivered.
