My client is a contractor looking to strengthen their delivery team for the remainder of the AMP8 funding cycle, working on a major framework on behalf of Bournemouth Water.
The successful Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure the successful on-site delivery of complex non-infrastructure projects within the water sector.
These projects form part of a major clean water scheme, overseeing multiple work packages aimed at improving the quality and reliability of water distribution across the Lancashire region.
Requirements
Due to the complexity of the projects, you must have:
Experience as an Electrical Engineer (or similar) within the UK water sector
You should also have:
Experience across project delivery
A basic understanding of reading and interpreting designs
Experience in packaging works and coordinating with procurement, design teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors
Responsibilities
Outline engineering from project inception through to completion, utilising in-house resources and site teams
Deliver multiple concurrent projects safely, on time, and within budget
Liaise with client engineering and operations teams to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded
Attend internal and external progress and review meetings
Conduct site visits and meetings
Establish preliminary and detailed design requirements and solutions
Prepare estimates and quotations
Complete contract documentation
Manage site safety, health, and environmental requirements
Coordinate with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, and internal teams
Procure plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors
Attend and support factory/site testing, commissioning, and client training
Compile final documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals
Take responsibility for project profit and loss
Manage variations and final accounts

Company car or car allowance (up to £6,200 per annum)
