Automation and Metallics Engineer

Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading Aerospace organisation to recruit an Automation and Metallics Engineer for an initial 12 Month contract. There is a rate of £28.71 PAYE per hour  Holiday Pay or £38.40 per hour Umbrella on offer for the successful candidate. The role would be full time on site in Chester Please find the job spec.

Automation and Metallics Engineer within the Manufacturing Technologies Team. Responsible for: ? The deployment and support of automated machinery for the assembly of aircraft wing structures and sub-assemblies. ? Assembly processes include drilling, fastening, cold-working and sealing. ? The scope of automated assembly machinery ranges from large Cartesian machines and industrial robots to lightweight solutions and collaborative robots (cobots). ?

PUWER requirements for the safe introduction of new machinery Core activities include: ? Defining new machinery ? Developing new automated assembly processes ? Project management ? Providing technical support to existing machinery Skill Requirements ? Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering. ? Experience in the fields of automation and/or robotics. ? Knowledge of the production processes used in Broughton.

Knowledge of PUWER & REACH legislation. ? Project Management. ? Proficient digital and data analysis skills. ?
