About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join Brush Power Solutions. This is an opportunity to lead transformative projects that support Scotland’s Net Zero ambitions. In this role, you will lead multiple projects of varying scale and complexity, overseeing their journey from feasibility and development through to construction. Our diverse project portfolio includes large‑scale capital delivery projects as well as the development and construction of new and existing electrical infrastructure schemes.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for both the technical and financial performance of projects, ensuring that key objectives in safety, cost, quality, and programme delivery are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Working Conditions – Remote/Hybrid. Base location can be from our Aviemore or Glasgow office. Current project locations are primarily across Northeast Scotland, Sutherland, and Caithness, and will require some on‑site presence. A full UK driver’s licence is essential along with flexibility to travel to live project sites. Car allowance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee technical and financial performance – manage both the technical and financial aspects of multiple projects.
  • Define and lead the project team – establish the project matrix, ensuring clear reporting structures and communication channels.
  • Coordinate vendors and subcontractors – define project requirements for all external partners, ensuring clear points of contact.
  • Ensure accurate project planning – develop detailed project plans, including activity schedules and invoicing milestones, aligned with contractual obligations.
  • Manage contract administration – ensure timely and compliant execution and documentation of all contract actions and modifications.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards – ensure project development and execution meets safety and quality performance requirements.
  • Enhance project competitiveness – improve tender competitiveness and add value through analysis and option development.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in DNO/Electricity projects OR strong expertise in HV/LV cable laying, switch gear installation, cable jointing, and commissioning experience is essential.
  • Proven experience managing electrical power distribution projects, particularly in the energy or utilities sector.
  • A proven track record in delivering large-scale projects within engineering, construction, or power distribution is essential.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations, including CDM regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Contract management expertise (NEC3 preferred), with experience forecasting and controlling project budgets.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute project lifecycle programmes.
Qualifications
  • Project Management certification (APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent) or working towards is desirable but not essential.
