We're looking for an experienced EICA Engineer with a strong Instrumentation & Control (C&I) background to join the Turbine Hall delivery team at Hinkley Point

C.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity on one of the most technically demanding engineering projects in Europe. Turbine Hall 1 is currently underway, with Turbine Hall 2 to follow, providing excellent continuity of work.

What's on offer?
  • £75–£78 per hour
  • Outside IR35 / Off-payroll subject to 30 day subcontract payment terms and adequate insurance provision
  • 40–45 hour working week

  • Work alongside a highly experienced nuclear engineering team
The role
  • Developing cost-effective technical solutions
  • Producing C&I design philosophy and design documentation
  • System architecture design and design substantiation
  • Safety case assessments and compliance with technical standards
  • Equipment specification, qualification and design justification
  • Reviewing and verifying engineering documentation
  • Managing obsolescence and lifetime considerations within system design
  • Acting as the technical point of contact for allocated projects
  • Representing the business in client and subcontractor meetings
We're looking for
  • Strong EICA / C&I engineering experience within highly regulated industries
  • Experience producing detailed design and technical documentation
  • Excellent understanding of system architecture, equipment qualification and safety compliance
  • Ability to engage confidently with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Nuclear experience is advantageous, although applicants from other highly regulated sectors will also be considered
