Senior Tekla Technician

We're looking for an experienced Senior CAD Technician with strong Tekla Structures expertise to join my award winning clients growing team.

This role centres on the modelling, detailing and coordination of structural steelwork and reinforced concrete (RC) structures, using Tekla Structures as the primary software, alongside AutoCAD. Working closely with structural engineers, you'll transform engineering concepts into accurate, high-quality 3D models and detailed construction drawings that support successful project delivery.

As a senior member of the team, you'll work with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of projects from engineer's briefs through to completed models and drawings. You'll ensure all deliverables are produced to the highest technical standards while meeting programme, quality and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing accurate Tekla Structures models and detailed drawings for structural steelwork and reinforced concrete projects.
• Developing coordinated, buildable models from engineering sketches and design information.
• Working collaboratively with engineers to resolve detailing challenges and improve constructability.
• Taking ownership of assigned projects, ensuring delivery to programme, quality and budget.
• Mentoring and supporting CAD Technicians, sharing best practice and helping develop high standards of detailing and modelling.
• Applying your experience to identify practical, efficient and buildable detailing solutions throughout the design process.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Tekla Structures for structural detailing and modelling, alongside a strong understanding of steel and reinforced concrete construction, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the wider team.
