As part of the TÜV family, TÜV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) are looking to recruit a CAT2 Inspection Engineer for the their client site in Dalry.

We are seeking an experienced CAT2 inspector to join our growing Industrial team to provide Inspection and Certification of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements.

• Preparingandreviewing Written Schemesof Examination (WSE)
• IdentifyingpreparationrequirementsfromtheWSE
• ExaminationinaccordancewiththeWSE
• UndertakingsimpleNDT–ultrasonicthicknesschecks,magneticparticle,dyepenetrant
• CoordinationofNDTprovidersforextensiverequirementsorspecialistmethods,
• Reviewingdesigncalculationsandsentencingdefects
• Participation in Risk Based Inspectionstudies

• Incorporated Engineer status(desirable)

• Eyefordetail
• Abletomakeanddefenddifficultdecisions
• Abilitytointeractandworkwithothers
• Understandingoffabricationorrepairofpressureequipment(desirable)

Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for category 2 inspection engineers as seen below:

.Incorporated Engineerasdefinedby Engineering Councilorequivalent (e.g.appropriateHNCwithrelevantexperience,(vocationalqualificationlevel4) includingatleast5years’experiencewithinarelevantengineeringdisciplineofwhichatleastoneyear
