Overview

Advanced Resource Managers are supporting a key automotive client in the search for a Front End System Integrator Engineer to join the Total Vehicle Validation & Integration Team. This role will focus on the integration, validation, and production readiness of Front End systems for current and future vehicle programmes, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and successful launch delivery across the production network.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in vehicle integration activities, leading validation planning, launch readiness assessments, and problem-solving initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production.

Key Responsibilities

System Integration & Vehicle Validation
  • Act as the System Integrator for Front End systems within the Total Vehicle Validation & Integration Team.
  • Ensure process-safe assembly and production capability of all product variants within the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead vehicle integration activities to ensure product maturity, launch readiness, and compliance with customer-focused quality requirements.
  • Support delivery and maintenance of system integration within the plant production process.
  • Ensure smooth vehicle buildability throughout all development and production phases.
  • Assess manufacturability, functionality, buildability, and quality requirements across all variants and market specifications.
Validation & Launch Readiness
  • Develop and manage validation and variant planning activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver validation results.
  • Conduct and document Launch Viability (ATG) assessments.
  • Support cross-plant validation strategies to drive consistency and best practice.
  • Lead partial build events and facilitate lessons learned reviews from previous vehicle programmes.
Problem Solving & Analysis
  • Analyse complex production and vehicle integration issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Investigate root causes of vehicle and manufacturing faults through the Problem Management Process (PMP).
  • Evaluate product and process deviations and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Carry out tolerance analysis and recommend product or process improvements.
  • Escalate risks and target conflicts where delivery, quality, or production objectives may be impacted.
Project Management & Reporting
  • Contribute to team KPI delivery, resource planning, prioritisation, and performance reporting.
  • Maintain transparency on key project risks, issues, and influencing factors.
  • Produce technical reports and pre-analysis documentation to support decision-making activities.
  • Work closely with specialist departments and stakeholder groups to coordinate solutions and project deliverables.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of cross-plant validation strategies.
  • Act as a core member of cross-functional specialist teams with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Create visibility of programme risks, opportunities, and production readiness activities.
  • Lead validation activities and build events within assigned system areas.
  • Drive collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and programme teams.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, HNC/HND in Engineering, or a Level 6 Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Experience with in automotive engineering, vehicle integration, validation, or launch activities.
  • Knowledge of Rolls-Royce, BMW, or MINI vehicle integration and launch processes.
  • Experience working within manufacturing and production environments.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle engineering principles and assembly processes.
  • Proficient in structured problem-solving and quality methodologies.
  • Experience using CAD systems for vehicle analysis.
  • Understanding of launch management and engineering change coordination.
  • Background in vehicle build and validation activities.
  • Experience working within cross-functional project teams in fast-paced, complex engineering environments.
