We're looking for an Engineering Director to join our ILIOS team based in West Burton, Nottinghamshire., This is an exceptional opportunity to provide senior engineering leadership across a major programme, where you'll own design integrity, engineering assurance and buildability across the ILIOS solution. As Engineering Director, you'll ensure technical outputs are safe, compliant, cost effective and integrated, acting as the Programme Director's technical authority on engineering governance and design assurance.
Whatwill you be responsible for?
As an Engineering Director, you'll be working within the ILIOS Leadership team, supporting them in delivering safe, compliant and integrated engineering solutions for the STEP programme. Your day to day will include:
- Providing overall engineering leadership, owning design integrity, systems integration and technical innovation to ensure outputs are safe, compliant and aligned to programme requirements
- Developing and implementing engineering, systems integration, assurance and innovation strategies, policies and procedures across ILIOS
- Leading engineering assurance and technical integrity while supporting translation of approved engineering outputs into safe, buildable works packages
- Acting as Temporary Works Designated Individual, ensuring competent appointments, effective procedures and assurance arrangements are in place
- Building and developing engineering capability across ILIOS, promoting consistent ways of working and effective collaboration across partner organisations
You hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent in engineering or another relevant technical discipline, along with Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution.
Qualifications and Experience- You have significant senior leadership experience across major multi-disciplinary engineering, construction, infrastructure, nuclear, energy or complex programme environments
- You bring proven capability in leading technical functions, design management and engineering assurance across multi-disciplinary and multi-organisation teams
- You demonstrate strong understanding of technical risk, compliance, temporary works governance, constructability and safety-led design principles
- You're a collaborative and credible senior leader with excellent communication skills, able to present complex technical matters clearly to executive and non-technical audiences
