A brilliant client of ours that are based in London is a well-established electrical contractor specialising in commercial electrical fit-out, delivering lighting, power and electrical services installations across high-quality office refurbishment and fit-out projects. Trusted by some of the most recognised names in the industry, the business has built a loyal, long-serving team and a strong reputation for quality. Following a planned departure, they are now looking to appoint an experienced AutoCAD Technician to lead their drawing function.

Based in a small, friendly and recently refurbished London office, the AutoCAD Technician will work closely with the estimating department, the wider electrical team and site electricians, reporting directly to senior management. As the sole AutoCAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing and managing all 2D electrical drawings, supported by a full handover as the AutoCAD Technician.

Responsibility & Duties

* Produce 2D AutoCAD electrical layouts, schematics and elevations

* Prepare drawings and take-offs to support the estimating department

* Deliver drawing packages for commercial office electrical fit-out schemes

* Lead the in-house drawing function as the sole AutoCAD Technician

* Support the wider electrical team and site electricians with drawings

* Manage drawing revisions and ensure accuracy against project requirements

* Liaise with clients and main contractors on drawing requirements

* Ensure drawings meet BS 7671, H&S and industry standards as the AutoCAD Technician

Experience & Qualification

* Established AutoCAD Technician with a solid Building Services M&E background

* Electrical fit-out contractor experience strongly preferred as the AutoCAD Technician

* Revit MEP experience desirable Electrical

* Mechanical Building Services candidates keen to learn electrical considered

* Advanced AutoCAD 2D skills across layouts, schematics and elevations

* Commercial office fit-out project experience highly desirable

* Exposure to Dialux and electrical calculations advantageous

* Relevant CAD or Building Services qualification advantageous

* Personable team player seeking a long-term, office-based position
