Process Engineer - Automated Welding

We are looking for a Process Engineer – Automated Welding to develop, optimise and maintain semi‑automated and automated welding processes within a high‑quality manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring robust, capablewelding processes that meet quality, safety and regulatory standards, while supporting production and new product introduction (NPI).

• Develop, validate and optimise automated and semi‑automated welding processes
• Define and control criticalwelding parameters to ensure repeatable, high‑quality welds
• Create and maintain Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQRs and work instructions
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 15614, ISO 3834, ASME and customer requirements)
• Provide technical support toresolve weld quality issues and lead root cause analysis
• Support specification,commissioning and validation of automated welding equipment
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma principles
• Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and Maintenance
• Provide training and technical guidance to operators and technicians

• Proven experience working with automated or robotic welding systems (orbital weldingdesirable)
• Strong understanding ofwelding principles and metallurgy
• Experience supporting production and NPI in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of weld inspection methods and quality systems
• Experience working with engineering drawings, weld symbols and specifications

• Structured and analytical problem‑solving approach
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
• Effective communicator, ableto influence across teams
• Proactive mindset with apassion for continuous improvement
• Ability to adapt, learn new technologies and support others through training
