Deputy Stage Manager – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for a full‑time Deputy Stage Manager to work on the reimagined One Part London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this play had its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. After ten record‑breaking years in the West End as a two‑part event, the show will evolve into its critically acclaimed, reimagined format, presented as a single performance this autumn.
Previous experience as a Deputy Stage Manager on a busy show is essential.
Responsibilities- Creation of the prompt book
- Calling the show
- Teaching the book and any changes to Book Covers
- Cueing lighting, sound and automation
- Deputising for the Stage Manager when unavailable—managing the department and stepping into their on‑stage track
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy live production environment
- Good all‑round technical skills

Contract Type: A year‑long contract in the first instance, then the contract will be rolling.
Salary:
Weekly buyout rate as per SOLT/Equity Agreement.

6 day working weeks (Tuesday to Sunday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
