Theatre Technician (Zero-hours

Brighton College is seeking to appoint Theatre Technicians on a Zero-hour basis.

Reporting to: Theatre Operations Manager

Main purpose of the role:
The Theatre Technician will work collaboratively with the Performing Arts Team and wider teaching and support staff to provide technical expertise and support for all aspects of the College's performing arts provision, including productions, performances, rehearsals, and events.

Role Summary

The Theatre Technician plays a key role within the Performing Arts Team supporting the Performing Arts departments and other users of the Richard Cairns Building, with the technical resources needed for their events. The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for Theatre and a keen interest in all aspects of technical theatre but with experience in either lighting, sound or stage management.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Delivery

• Provide the necessary technical support for events and performances;
• Support the curriculum delivery with regards to technical provision;
• Support in the rigging and operation of all lighting, sound, AV and stage equipment.
