Accounts Assistant

Position: Accounts Assistant (Permanent)
Location: Helmsley

We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team based near Helmsley, North Yorkshire

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the business’s financial operations—perfect for someone who thrives on learning new things and is keen to progress their career with study support available.

What You’ll Be Doing as an Accounts Assistant

You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the business. Your day-to-day will include:

* Supporting with the preparation of month-end reporting packs

* Reconciling payments and uploading sales invoices and credit notes

* Investigating and resolving any discrepancies

* Preparing journals, pre-payments, and accruals

* Supporting the audit process

* Liaising with key stakeholders in the business and working towards shared deadlines

* Previous experience in a finance or accounting focused role

* Meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical skills

* Confident Excel skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving

* The ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy
