Purchase Ledger Supervisor / Newport

Salary:
Up to £27,000 per annum plus anachievablequarterly bonus worth £3,000 per annum.

Hours

37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Starting basic salary of £27,000 per annum. Access to a realistic OTE of £30,000. Once 6 month probation has been passed, you will have access to a £2000 study allowance.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a high-volume purchase ledger for our client's business.
  • Line manager to 3 members of staff and ensuring the team hits both company and brand deadlines.
  • Training and development of staff, including one-to-one reviews.
  • Managing and assisting with complex reconciliations, supplier queries, high volume accounts, etc.
  • Preparing and running weekly and monthly BACs runs, and manual supplier payments if required.
  • Maintaining internal PO system.
  • Managing shared mailbox.
  • Month-end reporting.
  • Resolution of queries for colleagues in other departments as necessary.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required (including covering team members' absence).
Qualifications

In order to be eligible, you will ideally live within an easily commutable distance of Newport and will need to hold recent or current experience working within a similar Purchase Ledger Team Leader/accountancy position. You should be organised, analytical and have a good attention to detail, have good communication skills, be able to build and maintain good relationships with both colleagues and customers, and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Experience working in the motor industry or with the Pinnacle/Pinewood dealer management system would be advantageous, but is non-essential.
